What is Welded Mesh Fencing ?
The steel mesh fencing system is an anti-climb weld mesh system which is designed to give maximum perimeter protection. Because of the closeness of the horizontal wires it is almost impossible to grip. The opening available is further restricted by the vertical wires which form small rectangles throughout the panel. This Anti-climb fence is therefore extremely difficult to penetrate using conventional hand tools and thus gives a delay time under attack several times greater than traditional fencing products such as chain link fence.
You also have the choice of security gaps in the steel mesh fencing system i.e. high security, medium security or low security.
It has the added advantage of not impeding visibility especially for human patrolling or camera surveillance and is aesthetically appealing. That is why it is also known as see through fencing.
Anti-climb fencing is far superior to chain link fencing or other forms of see through fencing due to its unique qualities. The apertures are too narrow for finger and foothold climbing. This also prevents the use of standard cutting tools.
Another interesting feature is that from a distance the horizontal wire rods virtually vanish which is a plus for the use of CCTV.
This security fencing can also be used along with early warning systems such as electric fencing and fibre optic detection for maximum perimeter security.
If per chance the security fencing is cut, steel mesh fencing will not unravel or lose stability.
Under normal conditions, the average lifespan of a welded mesh fence is in excess of 20 years.
